Any plans for the 4th of July? Going to a party or maybe having people over? Why not make these red, white and blue desserts!? They are perfect for a get together. Check out each of these recipes, they are easy to put together.
Also each of these recipes can be changed to add red, white, and blue, so that you only need to make one dessert. For example: the cherry pie can be switched to half cherry, half blueberry, and then you have the white for the pie crust. The sugar cookies can be frosted in blue and red frosting, or also use sprinkles. The oreo balls can be dipped in colored chocolate, with different colored sprinkles. There are endless options of how to change each of these to fit your desired needs, be creative!
I made these and passed them out to my neighbors this week, in total it made 24 plates. I had a huge overflowing plate of sugar cookies and a plate of oreo balls left over. I took my extras to small group, and I got lots of compliments, especially on the oreo balls. I went home with no desserts, why becuase everyone loved them. I call that some pretty tasty deserts. So go ahead and make your 4th of July desserts, your family and friends will thank you for them!
