Milk and cookies, cookies and milk…what more could Santa want when delivering gifts? How about combining them! What a novel idea! Give Santa the best 2-in-1, that he will remember and crave for until he visits next Christmas!
My sister, Jaclyn, and I made our favorite childhood chocolate chip cookie, it’s soft, chewy, and all around one of the best chocolate chip cookies around. For this post I’m focusing on how to create the 2-in-1, so no pictures of making the cookie dough, but scroll to the bottom to find the amazing recipe. If there is a cookie recipe you love, use it!
Here is what the cookie dough should look like when everything is combined. As always feel free to take a spoonful and enjoy! (I usually eat two-three spoons of this…yes I know…I’m creating more dishes for myself, but for this, it’s okay!)
We used a mini muffin pan and a regular sized muffin pan. For the mini: one cookie scoop. For the regular: two cookie scoops
The fun part, find things around the kitchen/house, that will work for placing the indention in the cookie.
To create the indention for the mini’s we used a lipstick cap. Push it in to the warm cookie, and swivel it around so that the hole is big enough to hold some milk.
To create the indention for the regular’s we used a small seasoning container. It worked perfect. (Honestly we tried a couple different things before we finally found this little gem.)
Smear melted chocolate into the cups, making sure to cover the entire inside on the cookie. This prevents the cookie from soaking up all the milk.
Find a cup with a spout on it for easier pouring.
The spout was not quite big enough, so there is a mess. But not to fear, because the cookie will soak it up.
And this is what it will look like once Santa takes a bite out of this Milk and Cookies treat. That extra touch of chocolate adds functionality, an extra gooeyness, and sweetness. Over the top amazing! So go ahead and surprise Santa!
