Does this look tasty or what? Oh my goodness everyone, these are amazing! If you love brownies, prepare to fall head over heels for these! I’m going to be taking these to my neighbors today. On Monday I found a puppy walking around our neighborhood, I took him home, made some flyers, and then this puppy and I started walking around the neighborhood. I had so many nice neighbors trying to help me find his home, directing me to other houses that had dogs. I did find his home, just a couple houses down from mine…go figure! It was great finding his owners, and in the process I got to meet some pretty awesome neighbors. So this dessert is for my wonderful, awesome neighbors!
The brownie batter was really dark. My husband who doesn’t eat chocolate, and doesn’t usually watch me bake (a story for another day), looked at the batter, and was shocked at how dark it was. Then I started adding the eggs, it lightened the batter up…thank goodness!
Look at the whisk, doesn’t that batter look great, much better color. Now add the flour mixture. By the way it is not easy taking pictures while trying to pour the flour mixture in, and keep it in the bowl. Needless to say I had some flour on my counter, and kitchen aid. Oh well, practice makes perfect.
Roughly chop the pecans, half of these are roughly chopped, while the other half is well…in halves! I love my cutting board, so anytime I can get a picture with it I definitely take it. Yes it’s all cut up, used, shows wear and tear, but I love it!
Here is what the batter looks like with everything in it. Now put it into the pan that’s covered in the parchment paper. I should let you know I had a picture of me pouring it into the pan, but that was before I added the chocolate and pecans. So I had to take it out of the pan, and put it back into my bowl, to mix in the pecans and chocolate chips. That’s why this picture is not shown. Oops.
I did not show the making of the caramel sauce, because I will do that in another post. So as you can see I poked holes throughout the entire brownies, and then added the caramel sauce to fill in the holes. Then place it in the freezer, I know in the directions it said fridge works too, but this is dessert, the faster the better! Right?!
After being in the freezer the Carmel is set, and now smooth all the chocolate frosting over the brownie. Yeah I know, I’m drooling too. Lol
Now add the rest of the chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips. By the way I ate a couple spoonfuls of this before adding it to the brownie, I love pecans and chocolate!
I cut these into little squares and obviously had to taste one before wrapping them up.
Oh YUM! You should go makes these now! Trust me when you make these it will be a lot faster than me making them, because who knew taking pictures added so much extra time to my baking!
